Lisa Penn-Lettsome

A qualified lawyer with more than 32 years of corporate, regulatory and governance experience, Lisa serves as General Counsel in our BVI office and sits on its Board of Directors. Her career spans both the private and public sectors, and includes a number of senior appointments, notably as Chair of the 2022 BVI Constitutional Review Commission.

Prior to joining Trident Trust, Lisa was Executive Director of International Business with the BVI Government. Before that, she worked at an international law firm in BVI for 13 years, where she led its regulatory practice.

She held several key public roles earlier in her career, including Deputy Registrar of the High Court, Additional Magistrate, Registrar of Companies, and Deputy Managing Director of the BVI Financial Services Commission.

Lisa holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of the West Indies and a Master’s degree from the University of New South Wales in Australia.  Lisa is a past President and current member of the BVI Bar Association.
