Nawshin Mahadooa

Nawshin started her career at the Economic Development Board, the national investment and trade promotion agency of Mauritius, where she gained 15 years of experience in residency marketing, investment counselling, trade and investment facilitation, and policy development. She has assisted investors from across Europe, Asia and Africa to invest across various economic sectors including ICT, real estate, marine biotechnology, marine finance, financial services, and real estate amongst others. 

In 2015, she joined the Africa Centre of Excellence department to assist local investors to invest in Africa. In 2016, she was awarded the ABE Initiative scholarship by the Government of Japan and studied in Japan for three years.

Nawshin holds an MSc in Marine Science in the field of Marine Policy and Management from the Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, and a BSc (hons) in Political Science from the University of Mauritius. Nawshin is bilingual English and French, and she also speaks Urdu & Japanese.
