Rafael Pérez Appointed as Head of Business Development for Fund Services in the United States

Trident Trust has appointed Rafael Pérez as Head of Business Development for Fund Services in the United States, further strengthening its ability to support U.S. asset managers with both domestic and cross‑border fund initiatives.

Based in New York, Rafael brings more than 20 years of experience across the global funds industry, with a focus on business development, cross‑border fund structuring, and international distribution. He will work with U.S. clients on fund administration requirements while also supporting their efforts to access international investors, including through structures in Europe and the Cayman Islands.

Rafael’s career reflects a strong blend of European and U.S. market experience. After completing his postgraduate studies in France, he began his career in Luxembourg, where he developed deep expertise in European regulation and fund structures. He later moved to the United States, where he has worked extensively with asset managers seeking to expand their global investor base.

“”

Rafael brings a rare combination of U.S. and international experience. He understands the requirements of domestic fund administration, but equally how U.S. managers can position themselves to access global pools of capital. That perspective is highly relevant in today’s market, where cross‑border distribution is a core strategic priority for many of our clients.

Dan Smith, President of U.S. Fund Services

Prior to joining Trident Trust, Rafael held senior business development roles at leading global financial institutions and most recently led the Americas business development function at ONE Group Solutions, advising U.S. managers on international fundraising and cross‑border structuring.

In addition to his experience supporting managers with outbound distribution strategies, Rafael also brings strong relationships across the Latin American market, further enhancing Trident Trust’s regional coverage.

The appointment reflects Trident Trust’s continued investment in its U.S. fund services business and its broader global platform, which supports clients across key jurisdictions and investor markets.

“”

I am excited to join Trident Trust and to support the continued growth of its global fund services business. There is strong demand from U.S. managers looking to expand internationally, and I look forward to helping clients navigate the structuring and distribution considerations that come with accessing new markets.

Rafael Pérez, Head of Business Development, U.S. Fund Services
