Trident Trust Wins Fifth Fund Services Award of 2022

Trident Trust has won its fifth award of 2022 for its fund services, having been named the winner of the ‘Private Equity Fund Administration – Technology' category at Global Custodian magazine's Industry Leaders Awards.

The awards, which this year took place in New York on 17 November, recognise the industry’s best performers in prime brokerage and fund administration. It is the eleventh victory for Trident Trust at the Industry Leaders Awards in the last six years. This year Trident Trust was nominated in four categories at the awards, lining up against other heavyweight industry names including Apex Fund Services, BNP Paribas, Citco and SS&C.

The win follows four other fund services awards for Trident Trust this year, with the Group having been named ‘Fund Administrator of the Year’ and ‘Fund Administrator of the Decade’ at the Private Equity Africa Awards, and winning the ‘Best Fund Administrator Overall - Pan-Africa’ category at the Africa Global Funds Awards and the 'Best Administrator – Technology' category at the Hedgeweek European Digital Assets Awards.

“Over the last three years, we've worked hard with our partner Allvue Systems to tailor a technology platform that really sings for our private equity clients,” comments Dan Smith, head of Trident Trust’s US fund services team. “That work is never done but it's great to see our efforts validated by this award and the client feedback from Global Custodian's annual fund administration survey that underpins it.”

The foundation for this year’s win was an outstanding performance in the 2022 Global Custodian private equity fund administration survey, which collected detailed feedback from clients on a wide range of fund administrators in order to provide an industry benchmark of service provision by administrators of private equity funds.

Trident Trust led the 2022 private equity survey with the highest overall average score, and also has the highest average score over the last three years.
